I haven’t left the country or been on a vacation since having Damy, so being away from the children for two weeks felt so alien to me… at first! Hahaha!
I don’t feel guilty being away at all, but I did feel miserable at times because I missed my beans. UGH motherhood, amirite?

Anyhoo, we went to Japan for our 7th anniversary and just got back a couple of days ago. It was such a fantastic breather. The trip was so successful, hubs is already thinking of setting a date for a second trip *fingers crossed*
Japan is always a fun place to hang out, and I really cannot list all the amazing things I saw, ate, or did, but the highlight for me was catching a local festival, finally tasting webfoot octopus after seeing it on countless YT videos, tasting authentic ramen again, and being back at Shinkuju’s Gyoen national garden. We also met with a couple of friends, and that was such an awesome experience.
The one thing I didn’t count on was the relatively hot weather. I was hoping it’d be a little colder, and I bought several knits with me. Sadly, I wore T-shirts during our first week because it was like the tropics in the afternoons in Tokyo!
It was so amazing to be able to go to Tokyo with my husband and mark such an important milestone (our 7th wedding anniversary). Not one train was missed during this trip because the hubs was, incredibly, able to understand Tokyo’s complex subway network.
I do wish we dropped by some more places, but these 40-year-old feet can’t take more walking.
It’s only been a couple of days since we got back, and I am starting to slowly go back to the usual routine. I’m missing Tokyo a ton tho! Especially the shopping, hahaha! I gained a lot of weight, however, but I’ll work on that too, next week.
We are already planning a trip sometime next year, and I’m very excited.
